A test shoot can expose a gap that photographs do not show. You may arrive with a tidy portfolio, a suitable outfit and plenty of enthusiasm, then hesitate when the photographer requests three poses in quick succession.

The problem is rarely a lack of attractiveness. It is usually a lack of practice responding to direction.

Treat each instruction as a specific adjustment. For a relaxed mood, lower your shoulders, release your hands and slow your breathing. For energy, widen your stance and let movement reach the rest of your body. Confidence means staying attentive while making a clear change.
